    Hello all,

I am new to this site and find it very informative. By way of background, I have suffered chronic low back pain and bilateral radiculopathy for nearly two years. MRI's show near complete loss of disc height at L4/L5 and significant L4/L5 foraminal narrowing. An EMG/nerve conduction was positive for chronic lumbar radiculopathy. Neurosurgeons are generally advising against surgery (fusion) and recommending a spinal cord stimulator instead.

I have read Dr. Sarno's Healing Back Pain and pursuing treating this as TMS but am not sure if the above MRI and EMG/NCS findings would be considered "structural" in nature and the cause of the symptoms? Thank you.

    Hello!
Let's see how i can help you.
I have, and I mean, stuff testified by the analyzes:
    - hashimoto thyroiditis
    - a part of the thyroid bigger that another and with cysts and too many antibodies
    - subluxation between the vertebras of my neck
    - hiatal hernia and other stomach and digestive issues
    - a cyst in my ovary
    - a micropolecystic ovary
    - dental malocclusion
    - scoliosis since I was 12y
    - lack of iron
    - herpes since 2015
    - vitamin B and D with ups and downs

This is what you can see through science.

Then, there is a part that doctors cannot see, but I do see: headache, dizziness, weakness, anxiety, panic attacks and so forth.

What I'd love to share is that, yes, for sure we have things testified by science. But why do we have them? Who knows? You know, my father is a doctor, and living in a science oriented education led me to be a total hypochondriac and hypervigil, disconnecting from my feelings and suppressed emotions. What I can suggest is, whatever you will choose, stay in the program. We all have something inside that is ready to explode but doesn't to preserve us, and so becomes symptoms.
Hope this could help and sorry for my English, I'm not mother tongue and I'm not so friendly with scientific words.
    xx

I suggest looking into the work of Dr. Hanscom
He was a back surgeon, and now a TMS specialist, like Dr. Sarno, he noted many more of his patients had success without surgery than with.
    https://backincontrol.com/about/dr-hanscom/ (Dr. Hanscom)

Dr. Hanscom is also available for consolation of you feel you need another opinion.

Well no harm in trying. Either way your life will be enhanced by increased emotional awareness and the deep healing that takes place once we look within.
