    Hi All,
I've had severe pain in my mid back at the spine area for 3 months. I have been working the Unlearn Your Pain workbook and CD throughout this time. In all my 12 years of doing this TMS work, it's like I'm playing the game, Whack A Mole. One symptom goes away and another takes its place. So knowing how to do this TMS work for 12 years now, I decided to have an MRI to rule out cancer or some serious disease. MRI showed mild degenerative changes, scoliosis (I've had this since childhood) and Schmorl',s nodes. I have never heard of this so I looked it up. Sounds like it's a change of the spine typical for my age, 51. I plan on continuing on with the TMS approach, and disregarding any treatment the doc may try to tell me to do tomorrow, and just wanted some assurance from others on here, that indeed, Schmorl's Nodes are just as benign as spurs or similar boney growths. I appreciate anyone chiming in.
    Thanks, everyone!

Schmorl nodes | Radiology Reference Article | Radiopaedia.org
Schmorl's node is an upward and downward protrusion (pushing into) of a spinal disk's soft tissue into the bony tissue of the adjacent vertebrae (the bony building blocks of the spine). They are detectable with an x-ray test as a spine abnormality and are most common in the middle and lower spine.

I'm no Dr. But Dr. Sarno says all abnormalities of the spine should be approached like grey hairs of the spine. Normal abnormalities. TMS.

Keep fighting your fears, Mary! They are the ones that cause pain.
