Thanks for posting this article, Tom. That young doctor should be congratulated for believing in other steps than surgery for hip problems.

One of my favorite nieces recently had both knees replaced. I didn't ask if she tried everything before agreeing to surgery. But that's what I would do.

Sometimes I wish we could have our amygdala replaced... that part of it that causes anxiety and fear. But short of that, TMS techniques help a lot... deep breathing, positive mantras, and living in the present.
