    Hi all,

I recovered from chronic back pain 3-4 years ago after discovering Sarno, Curable, etc. During stressful times, unrelated symptoms pop back up. I recently went through one of those stressful times and had symptoms in my arms/elbows. Just as those sensations were going away, I had discomfort show up in my thumb. From all of my reading, I vaguely recall why this happens (pain moving, etc.), but can someone remind me why? Also, any advice on long term methods to keep that stress response down would be greatly appreciated. I have started meditating again and am still in therapy, so am doing my best to keep my lymbic system calm. Thanks!

    A couple reasons.
If you are just getting over doing the work and chasing it away again that is a GOOD sign, because it means whatever your doing is working!
I usually LOL when something like that happens. Say my arm has been hurting and I am doing the Sarno work and all of a sudden my other arm or my leg starts hurting? Rejoice., for you are winning. You have it on the run!!

But, if you're like me and you have periodic 'new' exotic symptoms you've never had before? You might need some psychotherapy or that new EMDR therapy that people are doing. It is supposed to work well for people who have had ..uh....colorful Childhoods ?
..My Regular doctor even recommended it. I just don't have the money or insurance so I just read the books, do the work and hang out around here.

It happens to a lot of us so I wouldn't take it too serious. You're not alone
