So I read Dr. Sarno's book 25 years ago. At the time I was dealing with lower back pain and an MRI showed no significant findings. After reading the book, I had a total resolution to my pain after months of debilitating pain. It was amazing and I am a total believer, and in a lot of ways that experience helped to shape how I approach life from a holistic, mind body perspective. Currently dealing with a new diagnosis of TENDINOSIS (different from tendonitis) of my left hip (hamstring). I am having some difficulty applying the concepts to this issue I am dealing with as I am unsure as to whether this specific diagnosis can be considered TMS. again this is a very news diagnosis I received after months of chronic pain. Does anyone have any experience with tendinosis as a TMS diagnosis?
    Thank you!

Never heard the term. What is the suggested medical intervention for "tendonosis"? Without any technical details, please - I'm just curious where this diagnosis might fit in the enormous and varied realm of TMS, TMS-equivalent, and TMS-adjacent.

Spoiler alert: everything can be mitigated with mindbody practices, even illness and injury. But I'm willing to get specific, briefly!

Thank you for replying. I will just copy and paste the basic definition of tendinosis. I actually had not heard of it either until I saw it on my MRI.

“Tendinosis is a degeneration of the tendon’s collagen in response to chronic overuse; when overuse is continued without giving the tendon time to heal and rest, such as with repetitive strain injury, tendinosis results. Even tiny movements, such as clicking a mouse, can cause tendinosis, when done repeatedly.

basically, physical therapy, rest and ice. There are some cases where surgery may be warranted according to the research - I honestly have not gone down that Road of research as of yet as I stated previously, I Really just received this diagnosis.

Okey dokey then. Apparently there's no need for immediate medical intervention, and it seems to be just another version of RSI. Which many many people, including @Forest who is the owner and founder of our wiki, have recovered from. I feel like RSI followed back pain as the "popular" TMS symptom starting in the late 90s, whereas hip symptoms have been gaining momentum recently - so that tracks.

Start with the directory of symptoms at tmswiki.org, find RSI, and start reading the selected success stories. Forest has posted his story in prominent places if it's not in that group, so you could probably start with his personal profile page.

Edit: my first mention of RSI above created an automatic link to that topic on the wiki.

You are the absolute best. Thank you very very much for that. I admittedly have not been very current with TMS related topics, So this is truly exactly what I need. Just some information that I can work with to start to change those patterns in my brain!
Again, very much appreciated thank you so much.
