It is indeed a recognised phenomenon that TMS symptoms, including pain, can be triggered at specific times of the day. This aligns with the concept of conditioning, where the brain associates certain times, activities, or emotions with pain signals even when there is no structural cause. This time-based symptom pattern can serve as further evidence that the pain is due to TMS rather than a physical injury or structural problem.

TMS pain is often linked to psychological stress, emotional triggers, and unconscious conditioning. Over time, the brain may learn to produce pain signals at predictable times as an alert mechanism tied to past stress or emotional repression. This process is similar to Pavlovian conditioning, where the trigger (like a particular time) prompts the brain to generate pain as a protective distraction. Recognising these patterns is consistent with how TMS symptoms can behave and supports the idea that the pain is mind-body related rather than structurally based.
