Good morning everyone, I wanted to share this text that my therapist suggested to me. It argues that René Descartes' "error" was the dualist separation of mind and body, rationality and emotion.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Descartes%27_Error (Descartes' Error - Wikipedia)

It was very useful to gain confidence in the fact that physical sensations (therefore also pain) born and develop in the process of interrelationship between mind and body (and also between our irrational drives aka "soul" for someone).

I believe that the basic assumption is perfectly in line with what I have learned about TMS over these years

    Un saluto a tutti
    :)

I always found it interesting that Sarno and Eckhart Tolle both speak of the 'Cartesian error'...one is a doctor and the other s spiritual teacher, yet both use it as a turning point in developing their 'teachings'. I think having read Sarno made me more receptive to Tolle.
