Totally! And my therapist told is part of the xxxx symptoms. And when I'm stressed out it came on the surface. When I am in good emotional conditions, it doesn't show up.

Yes it could also be that. But it came in a very tough moemnt of my life where I did'nt have any idea of how much suppressed emotions could interfere with almost everything. And, btw, since then, I started to have psycological problems related to my sexuality, that until that moment I bever had. Also these problems, part of the "symptoms".

I have had severe itchiness for 10 years. At first I thought it was an allergy since I had just turned vegan, but Dr. Rashbaum from NYU (he followed in Dr. Sarno's footsteps) diagnosed it as TMS and he sent me to a dermatologist who also diagnosed it as TMS. They told me to find a TMS therapist. I have tried to find one for 10 years, but they really take advantage of TMS patients and charge double what a regular therapist charges. Can anyone recommend a TMS therapist who charges reasonable rates? My itchiness keeps me up all night. The crazy thing is that I will have it for a month and then it goes away for a month and the pattern continues. I don't understand why it goes away and comes back in a consistent pattern. It is worse at night, but is now carrying over into the morning.

Idk if you’re still looking for a coach but if you live in California, Menda Health takes insurance and they are excellent!

I know I deal with TMS, PDP, Percieved danger pain as Dan Buglio, Pain Free You, (He has a book now) calls it. I am much improved in many ways in the last 3 years or so, thank God!

When I have a symptom, I stay calm and tell myself I am not broken, take a deep breath, relax my body, say I’m good, engage in life, feel my feelings, identify my feelings…. I could list many… different symptom even since childhood. I regret having spent so much money and time on my health. Glad I know better now!

The one symptom that is not budging is the all over, everywhere body itching. I get no rash. I have learned to carry on with life 95% of the time. Sometimes I can’t sleep. It does get worse when I am anxious but is always present. I try not to pay attention to it. I do not itch myself raw but if bad I will itch it even without thinking about it. I believe I have had this for 20 years. Earlier went to 13 different doctors trying to get help. Nothing helped.
As I think about it I can identify different itches: bottom of feet with my first pregnancy, private itching after my period or after I ate a lot of sugar, my back on a hike, when a cat or dog touch me, all over when I moved to AZ 30 years ago.

I get legitimate misquito bits that itch maybe even hurt, swell, reden. I hate them, if I don’t touch them they usually stop after a time. I use repellent but all day inside, outside it get hard.

it is hard to picture myself doing better and not
itching. Symatic tracking is very hard for when I give it attention it gets worse. I will keep up the work teaching my brain I am safe.

    Anyone else succeed with itching?

one of my weird symptoms is I’ll get what look like mosquito bites but knowing I haven’t been bitten by a mosquito and it’s wild. They only pop up when I’m stressed and they only happen on my feet lol they go away when I’ve called down after period of stress.

I'm not a fan of somatic tracking but if I can visualize the physiology of certain types of symptoms, I can often talk my brain into switching it off or at least backing off. With itching, it would start by understandimg the physiological immune system process which produces inflammation - never forgetting that it's the fearful TMS brain mechanism which starts the process. This means that it is perfectly capable of stopping the process, because the response is unnecessary.

    Yes!

I have a long history of dealing with skin problems. When I was around 6-7 years old I was playing with my neighbor at his house when his bullying older brother stuck both of my hands into a pan of leftover motor oil and chemicals. For 10 years after that I dealt with seasonal excema where my palms would peel completely off and itch and burn like wildfire. I recall being mortally ashamed of it, especially in those sensitive teenage years. We all blamed the motor-oil incident (how ridiculous in hindsigth) and visited dermatologists etc to get moisturizing creams etc but I remember my dad telling me at some point "Oh, I had that same problem when I was a kid, it went away when I turned 18."

    Guess what?

Mine went away at 18 and hasn't come back.

Of course I didn't know it at the time ( I didn't discover TMS for 40+ more years) but that was 100% mindbody TMS acting up.

That's just 1 example, I can come back with others.
