The practice of loving kindness offers a whole host of benefits, one of the most important being that research shows that the practice produces significant improvements in pain and psychological distress for people living with chronic pain. On a personal note, this practice saved my life. It so profoundly changed the way I relate to myself, to my inner critic, to others, and to my own pain. It has deepened my capacity for feelings of love, safety, joy, and gratitude. Here's a video where I talk a bit about the benefits and then offer a short practice that you can do along with me. I would love to hear about your experience if you try it!
