    Hi fellow healers,
I'm wondering if Polymyalgia symptoms could be caused by TMS? I was diagnosed with this 5 years and been on prednisone ever since. I have weaned myself off this drug very slowly, but the pain has returned.
Has anyone else recovered from Polymyalgia using the techniques of somatic tracking etc?
Thanks, and good luck to you all.

    Welcome @SFG

Your specific “diagnoses” (was this medically diagnosed by a Dr?) is not very common, however there are a few threads about it. Somewhere buried in this thread is a success story from UK organization SIRPA -https://www.tmswiki.org/forum/threads/sirpa-35-success-stories.14099/ (SIRPA - 35 Success Stories)

I will say that somatic tracking alone is not going to heal TMS. You’ll need to employ a psychological approach and somatic tracking is only one small element some people may use to help with some elements of TMS.
Reading a book by Dr. Sarno will educate you more about what TMS is, and how the mechanism works within the mind to affect the body. Reading Alan Gordon’s book “The Way Out” ( which differs some in method from Sarno’s approach) will explain more of Gordon’s methods).
