Hi I am a 29 year old male who has been struggling with shoulder pain since October 2019. At first it was suspected I had torn a ligament or a tendon so was sent to a specialist. The specialist said that I had bursitis and recommended a cortisone shot to relive the inflammation, followed by 6 weeks of PT. About 2 months passed and the shoulder was feeling ok, but then I started to do some pushups and felt excruciating pain in my ac joint accompanied by popping and grinding sensations. The specialist has been on the phone to me and said it looks like there is some subluxation in my right shoulder and wants me to have yet more XRays and ultrasound scans. The pain is with me constantly every day from the minute I wake until the last thing at night. I also felt pressure in my right shoulder blade muscles when breathing out, this has now moved to my left shoulder blade. I can deal with the tightness and feeling of pressure in my left shoulder blade but the pain in the right shoulder is so painful I can’t do a lot of my normal activities. I was wondering if anybody else has had joint pain on top of the shoulder bone at the ac joint accompanied by grinding and popping? I also have had more tightness in my knees but this doesn’t bother me as much. Any help would be truly appreciated as I am now lost and keep asking myself if this is a structural problem that requires surgery?
