I have worked for many many celebrities....some as famous as our Dear ms. Madonna. They are surrounded by a cadre of 'Yes' men and women and get nothing but positive feedback until their insanity seems normal.
I have pondered writing a book "Pee-on of the Rich and Famous". If I was their Lawyer or accountant they'd probably put on their game face, but being 'Just the dumb painter' they usually act very normal...that is insane isolated and pampered, whenever I am in their homes.

There is a farm a friend owns just north of our state line...it's in Kentucky by like a mile or two. They mentioned I can go up and stay there if I do some work for them and I am taking it seriously and will be discussing it very soon.
It is quite remote. Cellphones don't really work up there, and they have never put in towers because it is a mostly Amish enclave. My biggest fear would be running out of books. My sons go up there quite regularly so I know I will see THEM. maybe God is giving me a push?

Maybe he is?! (But what will we do if you can’t access the forum?)

This sounds like a frustrating situation—a prime situation to feel trapped (ie, angry). Maybe in your free time you get symptoms because you just don’t want to have to do that anymore. (It’s the logical prudent thing to do, you probably say to yourself. It’s how the chips have fallen. But maybe… just maybe… there’s another way?)

If you've got a Kindle or you can borrow one from someone, you can download lots of books on to it; you'd just need to make sure you do so (download all of the books you want to read) before you leave for the farm because then you would be able to access those books on it without WiFi while you're away. (You just wouldn't be able to highlight any text or use bookmarks on the device.)
It sounds like just what you need right now. I would think that being on a farm in Kentucky would be a great experience. I hope it works out for you.

I know I would miss your unique perspective and no-bullshit advice for our community, Marco - but everyone needs and/or deserves a break sometimes. And maybe there's a county library you could visit every once in a while - log in and check in...

Honestly, it sounds like a pretty awesome opportunity to try something completely different.
