I have the time, so I figure why not.
Yes, the three are very much the same...
-- thinking repressed emotions and not physical
    -- reading success stories
    -- journaling.

    Jilly likes this.

no jilly they will all teach you a higher learning-even though they might use some of the same concepts-
every new or old teaching you can absorb thats about tms is worth it/ive studied from so many different
paths but they have all taught me a new way to heal-reverse-re-connect with who i really am-
we can heal before we learn all the concepts-the key is to keep learning so we can retain
and keep practicing so in the future if a skin rash or eye problem or kidney infection was to occur
then we will know exactly what to do to overcome these otherwise debilitating dis-eases

didnt know you was writing at the same time walt-and your right
there r a lot of common ground among the teachings-
its the subtle differences that help
like steveo telling us to get our mind on another body part when we hurt
or like ive read 3 of sarnos books and everyone of them taught me something new
for instance in the divided mind/i didnt know how the mind could effect blood pressure
till i read about it-it helped me bring my pressue doun-just by knowing it was a tms equilivent

Right, Eric. I find all three study approaches to discovery and healing are similar and helpful.

Today while studying the Structured Education Program Day 5 while journaling I thought of
an emotion I sure have been repressing, and it never surfaced to my conscious mind in the
8 weeks of journaling in the Sarno and Brady programs. It is a real doozy and I should have
remembered it weeks ago. I won't go into detail, but it was back years ago when I was a newspaper reporter
in Chicago and covered what is still considered to be one of the two worst fires in the city's history,
at a Catholic high school. I reported on a miracle when a nun saved dozens of children that made
nationwide news. But what I saw at the fire was so terrible I tried putting it out of my mind.
But there its been all these years, in my subconscious. Now that I've brought it out, I hope it will
help relieve my pain. I don't have to keep remembering it now, do I?

Eric, your two helps from Steveo and Sarno are real good ones.

I've had only a few cases of back pain today and when I go them
I yelled at my subconscious that they're from repressed emotions
    and the pain went away.

walt-you have the repression brought into consciouness, just accept and release
walt you have just mentioned a very important concept-repression
its buried and then you stumble upon it-smile my friend
you should be feeling a lot of pain reduction very-very soon-
and what ever other equilivent reduction you might have
just stay humble,be patient, let it soak in and the healing will come

thats awesome walt-you see-you see how you have the control-keep at it
i was doing this too -

Thanks much for saying I can let go of that repressed trauma.
It alone could cause a lot of TMS. Added to the rest of what I've
journaled about, maybe my subconscious will let up on me.

I hated covering crime and disasters for the Chicago Tribune and finally
got to cover more upbeat news.

you see it was something that you couldnt think about no more so you surpressed it and it became repressed
we think were forgetting it but our sub-conscious doesnt-so whan we journal and these horrible events come to surface
it awakes our sub-conscious to think well hes got a hold on it-he made it through it-so im going to let up
the journaling that gave me the uh-huh moments were a lot of things i knew i didnt want to think thru-its hard sometimes to face what the sub-conscious is trying to protect us from-thats when we use affirmations to reverse our perception /

heres a concept from steveo-close your eyes and notice that the pain is no longer their
-your brain will re-lease the area in tension right then ,right now .
you can release your pain in a split second because you created it in your mind

  11. Eric "Herbie" Watson

Eric "Herbie" Watson Beloved Grand Eagle

heres another concept-think of the area in pain and concentraite hard while
thinking the pain is not there, repeatedly believe this and feel it.
eventually your brain will accomidate to what your thinking

That Steveo concept is very good and I'll try it next time I get pain.

About repressed emotions like my fire story, I had wondered if it is unhealthy to
dig up such things from the past, but Sarno says it is both healthy and helpful to recovery.

  13. Eric "Herbie" Watson

Eric "Herbie" Watson Beloved Grand Eagle

its very helpful walt-its whats causing the pain in our bodys
so when we stumble upon it-its like well he knows now
no use in keeping the pain going-
remember to affirm -im at peace,im full of love,im healthy and strong
these affirmations will help you feel better

  14. Eric "Herbie" Watson

Eric "Herbie" Watson Beloved Grand Eagle

dont hurry the process-and wonder when-your brain knows what your thinking
so be calm -relaxed and in time and study it will occur

I've written down those affirmations. Thanks.

To lighten up, I like limericks and thought of this one years ago...

She was only a swimmer's daughter, but she knew all the dives.

Jan I haven't been on the site lately. I was wanting your input. I was really getting into Monte Hueftle but, I started floundering and felt that some of what he said didn't have to be so black and white. An example would be a massage or acupuncture..I do these for energy purposes and relaxation. He also seemed down on support sights as if people were using it as a distraction from the real issues. I personally don't feel like that but, I do feel like people need support (not that one needs to wallow in it). Is he for real?

deborah im not jan but if your doing the accupressure for relaxation purposes by all means do it
remember monte is talking to those that might think this route is the cure
would you say over all your comfortable with his teachings if you see it from this point
ive never got to listen to monte or talk to him-ive heard hes a nice guy
