  • My Story

Just starting the journey, I've has pain in my shoulders and neck for the last year, Docs unable to find a cause. I've had a painful stomach for two months, but it doesn't respond to any treatments. Thinking it's all due to TMS - going through the treatment program. I believe it will help me.

My stress and anger come from the fact the my wife of 36 years has leptomenengial carcinoma, a rare cancer that has no cure, she's being kept alive by the medication in a clinical trail at MSK in New York City. I am her primary caregiver and have to do it all - cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc, etc. It's not so much the work that gets to me - it's good to be busy in this circumstance - it's the unknown. She could live another 6 months or another 10 years - we don't know. All we know is that eventually the medicine will stop working and she will die. In the meantime, she's on daily chemotherapy and we're tethered to MSK. Hard to enjoy life in this purgatory...
