Oh my goodness. Is TMS the same as OCD, and that's why we worry about how many percentage points we have recovered? And about checklists and whether we have done the SEP in the right way? Sounds suspicious!

Apparently when I was an infant my exema was so bad it settled I into all the crevices of my 4 and a half lb. preemie newborn body. I had allergies and feeding problems. (I still have touches of excema, but nothing awful.) What could I have been repressing as a newborn?
Also, as a child I picked my lips till they bled- which I don't do. I still pick at my fingernails.
This all confirms that I have been TMS prone since birth. Picking at oneself is also an obsessive-compulsive trait.

Scientists and researchers out there- explore the link between TMS and OCD! I am not going to write another dissertation!!

Thank you for your post Lizzy. I believe your insight helped become conscious of the underlying mechanisms today.

My lip cracked a few days ago and healed yesterday. It healed fairy quickly compared to the past. I remember this morning before I went to work thinking that it was wonderful that I no longer had a cracked lip. During my shift it was a nightmare. Many things going wrong - none of which were my fault. Important deliveries with no staff to deal with and no staff able to help and many senior staff not being present to allow entry so I had to screen everybody (which made me feel bad because everyone must have hated me for this) but I kind of had to do to this in order to not allow anybody into the building who shouldn't.

Roughly halfway through my shift I noticed my lip was painful and had actually cracked. I always thought lips crack slowly but this appeared to have happened quickly and may have been in response to the anxiety I felt at work and annoyances which were completely out of my control.

Thank you for triggering this insight!

    Actual,
Becoming more aware of your body in relation to emotion/stress is really awesome! My mind has so many little distractions for me, but more and more I realise what is going on. I am so glad you are learning about yours too.

I've noticed I feel better since starting a few months ago to eat more fruit and vegetables (spinach, kale which I almost never ate before),
and almost eating no meat (I eat some chicken, turkey, fish). I also use coconut oil in salads and cooking. A morning mouthwash with coconut oil also is good for the immune system and other things.

I wish I could achieve the calmness my dog has. Annie naps and looks so peaceful. Dogs live in the present moment. Maybe that's her secret. She doesn't worry about where the next bone is to come from.
