Thank you Gigi. The name is "God Does Not Want You To Be In Pain" Walt helped me put it all together. Becca was so important in her knowledge. Forest and Steve Ozanich gave me some great friendly advice and I took it from there. Walt and I decided to name the book after my Experience I had with the lord while healing. It's not a religious book but It does discuss that great word Faith. It was very important in my recovery and most everyone I know that has recovered.
Gigi if you ever just need a friendly chat to compare styles and techniques let me know. I wish you better soon.
    Bless you

Thank you Eric! I'll have to buy a copy of that real soon. Anything to help guide me! Your lucky number? That's my year of birth! lol...

I'm just new to this forum so I have to still check out these other areas of the forum, I didn't realise there was a 'support forum' as well.

I don't really have a protocol Eric/Herbie (sorry not sure what you prefer to be called). I have been reading up on the TMS knowledge for around 2 years now, I tried meditation for some time and that seemed to help a bit but I think I needed more than that. I also tried recording some positive affirmations with some music and listening to them whilst sleeping so they can seep into my sub conscious but I'm not sure that that's been working either (i think i've been doing that for about 3 weeks). See I have a busy schedule at home, I have 4 and a half year old twins and a 13 year old daughter and as much as my love for them is indescribable I believe alot of my stresses come from the twins as they're constantly battling with eachother, arguing, screaming etc... catch my drift? I feel that they don't listen (specifically my little girl) she's very stubborn. It's not all that though, I suppose when you're down and not feeling that great, the last thing you want is daily struggles with your children.

I get alot of headaches that are unusual, they're described as pressure in my head, pain in my neck, my whole spine aches - especially the thoracic area. I've had lots of xrays (they're all good, apart from a very straight neck), a thoracic MRI (it was all good) and most recently had an MRI of my neck - this showed up with a C5/6 disc bulge and annular tear apparently not compressing the spinal cord. I haven't been to the specialist yet to see what he thinks, but i'm treating it as TMS. I believe all my symptoms are TMS, even though when I get my headaches with the pressure and the tension in my body, I must admit I do get a little worried and start thinking the worst but i'm trying not to do that. It's so hard to have a protocol when you have a bad headache and in alot of pain. I really need to find the appropriate steps to move through this because I do beat myself up a fair bit and fear alot. It's like I know it's TMS but I don't know what to do next!? Anyway, I should probably be posting this in the support forum? Thank you so much for your reply. I will purchase that book you wrote and see where that takes me. Cheers :)

Awesome, I was born in 72 too. You can call me Herbie, all my friends call me both. One day Eric the next Herbie:) I want to express that calming your nervous system down with the meditations would be awesome to get you back into feeling better. The more you can get away from all your daily pressures and just get some calmness and relaxation going at this point would be great for you. As you know if you focus on the pain with any doubt and fear then that will be a source of pain.

So it would be good to release it all during your meditations when you get back to doing them. Just do like 10 minutes to get away from every distraction you can think of. Get someone if you can to watch the babies for those 10 minutes twice a day to go and turn off all electricity to your room and just lie there and think of nothing but your breathing. Doing this just twice a day starting out will help you re-set your balance thus giving you less stress and tension thus less pain.

Start here, you said you had some good with it, stay with the meditations for life. They will be a main stay in keeping you pain free.

Do something every day that will make you laugh too so you can experience more fun ok. Take some walks and enjoy the springtime. Breath in the fresh air and enjoy hearing the sounds of the wind and hearing the birds chirp as you watch their different colors feed your vitality.

Let go of the sadness or depression, it's just thoughts of helplessness thought of over and over -- now you have keys of hope. You can always change your thoughts to those emotions by thinking about how you are going to feel when you heal all the way and then believe you are already there.

You will have to break your conditioning so when you decid to do the SEP program here you will be thankful you did. http://www.tmswiki.org/ppd/Structured_Educational_Program

This way you will be able to put together a protocol of tools that will be very beneficial in your healing ok.

I want you to know that I really understand about your headaches. I used to get migraines everyday. I learned that self - pressure on myself to get things done during the day was the culprit. Since I have been pouring on all the tools I mentioned above I am almost free from headaches altogether. I still have one every now and then if I slip back into the old tensive thoughts ( unconsciously) meaning it happens in my sleep. I have to really give myself lots of self compassion at these times and then I'm all balanced again -- Hope this helps

    Bless you

P.S. That thing you want to do but haven't done yet, in time when you just know what it is -- just go and do it.
This act of doing will also have special healing effects for you.

Oh and the book will be a pleasure to you. Thank You for your kindness. You will be very pleased. I answer a lot of questions that are asked often here at the wiki. It should really give you plenty to learn so you can achieve your healing. :)

Hi, Tennis Tom. A jeep is just a motorized donkey. I love them, although I never drove one.
Jeeps are a huge help for us in war and peace.

Jeeps are like Americans. They work hard and never give up.

This sub- an un-conscious thing also got me confused. If I recall correctly Sarno calls it the unconscious, which is in line with what Freud propagated. It doesn't matter though what you use, because during my search on the all knowing web I found that there is no clear consensus about what represents what and that most people mix them up. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subconscious )

This is my take on it, too. The word "unconscious" tends to be more common and is used by therapists, academics, and Dr. Sarno. As the Wikipedia article suggested, subconscious tends to be more associated with new age sources.

Gigalos remeber in Dr. Sarnos video where he said dont worry with the sub-conscious cause you cant change that but pay attention to this word unconscious. Here in this setting the unconscious is something you are picking up on all the time. You are just unaware. Like the anger we have until one day in awareness you catch it, so at this time it becomes conscious. The subconscious is programmed automatically with your reactions and experiences. If you Feel upset and emotional about an incident, then you will automatically have this remembrance in your subconscious regardless if it's to be known or not this is where the reprogramming comes in to help change what your not aware of or what you can't change in just a setting in which you become aware. UNCONSCIOUS is what your not aware of but if u were to know the issue u could change it rather quickly. THE SUBCONSCIOUS holds everything u have ever learned and been through thus making it only accessible indirectly through meditations and soothing, affirmations. Sometimes the journaling will bring forth a buried subconscious repression but usually the unconscious can be brought to your attention in a setting while being taught the tms wisdom. Hope this helps

Been over the Coquihalla many times, Tom, and once lived in Merritt. Don't know what the fuss is about but that's reality tv for you. It was supposed to be a better route for trucks than the Trans Canada Highway (which winds a lot in those mountains) but turned out to be too steep, comparatively. There's no doubt the Coq can get unpleasant in the winter but that's no big surprise. Never heard of Hiway Thru Hell, the tv show, but I'm not usually a reality show fan. I prefer my fantasy straight up.

As to your gf's (and Forest's) aversion to camping, that's sad but I used to hate it, too, and still prefer rv-ing, thanks very much. But, here I am with my chickens, wild geese returning to the creek, hungry bears, and two ewe sheep (one dropped two lambs on Sunday and the other is SO pregnant) -- and I love it. Up to my knees in spring mud!

Welcome, Abundance. This forum is a healing place.

Forest - I love the longer original post on this thread, but I have to say what you have expressed above is SO very important. It has helped me a lot and I wanted to repeat it, as I felt it will be beneficial to many others. Thanks so much.

The comments on this thread are wonderful. Shows how much deep thought is given to anger, shame, guilt, etc. that cause TMS.
And how important it is in healing TMS symptoms by forgiving, ourselves and others.
Then we don't have to chew again on the cause, like a cow chewing and chewing over and over again.
We can just let go of the past repressed emotions and go forward into our lives, starting now by living in the present.

Yes, it's available now and I've just downloaded it. I've had a terrible flu for the past two weeks and, with the sheep situation and all (a bottle lamb in the house while you are so sick is a Baaaad idea) I just haven't been keeping up. Anyway, starting to feel a bit better and will (I hope) be on the call tomorrow but, if not, will listen to the recordings.

    Bless you, too, Herbie.
