Just like others on this thread, I overcame my conditioned response to changes in barometric pressure by repetitively talking to my brain. I simply repeated over and over that there was no logical reason for changes in barometric pressure to create pain, and told my unconscious to "stop it" if I began to feel twinges of pain. I coupled this with telling my brain that it didn't need to create the distraction of pain because I was now willing to look at my emotions and feel them. Therefore, there was no longer any need for this pain.

This simple technique is very effective. I don't remember exactly how long it took to get rid of the conditioned response--maybe a couple of months--but I am completely free of it now. You can be too.

    Be well....

It helps me to recognize my emotions. Before, I was so used to pushing everything inward. Once I recognize the different emotions, I accept them as normal and can let them go instead of repressing them. From what I understand, when you don't acknowledge your emotions its like telling your subconscious mind that they are too difficult to deal with... which is why it creates symptoms to distract you. But if you acknowledge all emotions, you are basically saying to yourself I can deal with how I feel and react accordingly. Your body won't need the defense because you teach yourself that all emotions are normal, okay and can be deal with. Hope that helps! :)

Fear can really cause us pain. We all have to work on ways to drive away fear...
be positive, live in the moment, breathe deeply, and LAUGH.
