“…write a forum post on how you are doing so far, and what apprehensions you may have about this treatment or your life in general.”

Most of my back pain of over 30 years has settled down with a tolerable spike for about an hour upon getting up this morning. I went about my day acknowledging, then ignoring it. It went away. I think my TMS work in the back department is paying off!

Also, much of the center of my chest anxiety has taken a leave of absence. I was verging on panic for about 6 weeks before starting the program. This is a great relief!

The LPR silent reflux remains, along with attendant blocked ears (new), burning throat (reduced), sour taste in mouth (reduced), sporadic cough, phlegm, stomach pain (occasional) and hoarse voice.

Because my hiatal hernia is slightly open all around the stomach sphincter, I’ve recently learned, I am having an apprehensive reaction to whether I can really stop the acid flow into my esophagus, throat and sinuses.

I’ve had some great support from others who have had this problem, but not because of a hiatal hernia, so I’m obsessing about not being able to stop the acid back flow without an operation to relocate the hernia. I think, however, my recourse may be to concentrate on acid reduction instead. That can be countered with TMS tools and diet which I’m doing to some effect. This is not a new symptom so it’s not symptom imperative. Rather, it’s likely my mind working overtime. Still, a hiatal hernia is “structural” with not a lot of available info about what can be done if not TMS. So…I’ve essentially let in doubt!

My life in general continues to improve with this work, the previous work I’ve done, therapy, being open to life again, letting go of deep hurts and understanding how to truly (and finally) forgive. I am ever-optimistic except for that !#€^<£!!! hernia!

    Mtnjac,
Click on the magnifying glass at the top right hand corner of this page and search for “hiatal hernia.” It will pull up all the threads that include that as a topic. Maybe if you peruse through there you’ll get some ideas or inspiration.

Thanks Diana-M, I think I did this but will have another look. You are always here for me.

I followed a compilation provided by another kind soul. Hidden among the stories of healing, I stumbled upon Dr. Koufman’s (Dropping Acid, The Reflux Diet) linked article on the woes of Hiatal Hernia indicating lifelong meds and further complications. That’s what set off my alarm clock.

Well, that’s too bad. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, you’ll be able to get back on track and believe it’s TMS and feel better.❤️

Hiya again. I’ve decided to stop obsessing over this. It’s not killing me. And after going nuts over something I cannot undo, I’m working on what I can do. You are an inspiration and I appreciate you!
