Please see the first 3 chapters of my recovery memoir, The Mind Solution: Healing TMS Pain with Doctor Sarno, featuring a contribution from Rebecca Tolin, posted with permission for free in pdf format. If you want the full book you can find it at the following link as cheap as I could make it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFZ9DGGF

Five doctors and an osteopath provisionally diagnosed me with autoimmune disease. Ankylosing Spondylitis, Crohn's disease and Celiac disease were the leading suspects. One doctor told me that I was, 'the worst autoimmune patient I have ever seen.' It must however be noted that I was never officially diagnosed by a specialist, because my appointments were cancelled due to the lockdown. Whatever I had, at my worst, I needed a wheelchair to travel more than 200 feet due to chronic hip and back pain. For four months I was unable to eat anything other than 1000 daily calories of mushrooms, almond milk, cabbage juice and cucumbers because I reacted terribly to all other foods. I could only sleep in a sun lounger. I had visible ribs and looked like a prisoner of war.

My complete symptoms list included: gingivitis, lordosis, wisdom tooth-related infections, anal fissure, haemorrhoids, severe RSI-like hand and wrist pains, urinary pain, anxiety, depression, severe brain fog, IBS-like diarrhoea and constipation, probable severe autoimmune disease, gluten, lactose, soy, starch, onion, nut, egg, and artificial sweetener intolerances, chronic fatigue, chest pain with accompanying shortness of breath, neck pain, chronic low back and hip pain, insomnia, dizziness and infected bug bites.

In my desperation, I prayed for help. Then I found the work of Dr. John Sarno, Steve Ozanich, Dr. Marc Sopher, Dr. Howard Schubiner, Dr. David Schechter, Georgie Oldfield, Nicole Sachs and others and made a complete recovery using TMS (The Mindbody Syndrome) methods.

Now I am fully recovered. I do not take any medication, herbs or supplements (except one daily Vitamin D pill). I do not eat a special diet. In fact, I eat a lot of junk food. I can run a 10k in 40 minutes, climb mountains, hike 18 miles, and lift weights. I even grew a little. This book explains exactly how I did it.

This book also features success stories from others, including a contribution from renowned mindbody coach Rebecca Tolin, as well as the forum's own @JanAtheCPA and @lowella

For anyone not familiar with Rob's supportive participation in the forum since he joined it earlier this year, check out his story and list of postings on his profile page for @theacrobat. We've had some interesting discussions online about autoimmune conditions, including my firm belief that my fully-diagnosed RA was caused solely by experiencing unsustainable stress.

Rob joins our forum contributor and TMS-book-author Tamara @TG957 (another TMS journey book you should read).

Congratulations, Rob - I've got my copy!
