Yeah, that's quite a bummer. You get brave, do the work, and is symptom punished for it. It's the unfortunate way TMS is hardwired in the brain. It throws pain, it throws discouragement, it throws doubt. TMS is a control freak. I find it easier to cope with it considering the after symptoms part of the work.

I like this; good attitude! Let me ask you this question: do you think it’s possible to kind of have a perpetual flare while you are working really hard —like say for months, you’re kind of in a flare while you’re putting steady pressure on your TMS brain?

It’s important to remember that every human is “in progress”! Spoiler alert! You’re normal!!

I think that's what Helmut did, but tbh it seems like torture. I do believe in the importance of being constant but not being a slave of the work. Even for the mind talk. There's moments I feel TMS stirring the pot and I just say to my mind "oh well I'm tired you know the drill".

I love Insight Timer. There's loads of free amazing meditations. I just did an Inner Child healing one; I do tend to gravitate to them. I like the shorter meditations 8-10 minutes as I get antsy with longer ones.

I do believe it's a combination of confronting traumas and creating better habits, which results in rewiring our brain.

To heal, you must let go of the idea of healing.

    This is key.

If you are putting pressure on your brain, you are just sending it constant danger signals. Challenging the TMS brain means not putting pressure on yourself , it means a lot of self soothing, it means doing things are enjoyable, that give you pleasure. It means letting go of the obsession of 'healing' or 'recovery'.

It means incorporating joy, love, elation, happiness.

    It means setting boundaries.

It also means letting go of the fear of what others think. I mean come on at our age who cares?I look ahead to the remaining years I have on this planet & I plan on enjoying every moment without fear, regret. self criticism or apology.

    Its about living, truly living.
