    Hi,

Im a 31yr old guy from Holland. (please excuse my bad english/grammar)
At the age of 22 I got my first accute pain in my back.
And now for about 9 yrs and al lot of doctors, specialists and treatments, still nothing has improved
my situation. Although in my former years I was able to get back to work after about 2months of lying down in my bed doing nothing. With a little nagging pain in my back. But my sporty career is over.

This year I'm already about 4 months out of my life (working/activities) and mostly doing bed rest or staying in-doors. Only with important things like birthdays or so ill get out and visit people.(with pain ofc)

The doctor has send me again to a rehabilitation center for the second time, but i have to wait 2 months to get an appointment. I'm sick of this waiting, doing nothing so i started looking on the internet for answers...
I came across the book healing backpain from dr sarno and started reading it.
And have read it for the second time (in english)
I now found a dutch copy of it and i am starting to read it again.

Im still not fully convinced about this TMS thing but, I do believe in a mind-body connection.
I am also aware that i am emotionally superficial and need to work on it, but where to start.
I got bullied most of my school time, and did not get much understanding from my parents.
My parents are divorced and remaried to a different partner, also my sister is divorced so not a lot of luck
Hence my hesitation in this matter.

I just started on day one of this six weeks program.
But ive read the book a couple of times now, trying to applie some of the tips in the book but am having a hard time. I took a leap of fiath and did a soccer training last night. No pain whatsoever but when i got home.. and today.. its pain in my back, my back is stiff and i'm fearfull that something is wrong, i do keep trying to tell my self nothing is wrong its just a signal but i dont know where to start(maybe here)

Thanks anybody who would take the time to respond to my message.
Im going to try to complete this program.

Best of luck to all of you!

    regards, Enumo

    Good luck

Im on day 3. Before last week when I read the book, whenever I'd be walking around doing stuff, whether at home or elsewhere, feeling pain, I'd be thinking, 'What am I going to try next? When will it stop? What will be the cure? It keeps getting worse. Will I need surgery? Nothing helps!'

Since I read the book and had Sarnos ideas in my head, my pain is mostly the same, but the fear is gone. I dont have those thoughts anymore. Thats a step forward. I believe that this thing feeds off itself negatively AND positively.

Hi, guys. A good place to start with TMS knowledge and healing is starting the SEP program which is free in one of the forums here.
It's a daily short course in TMS and will put you on the path to becoming pain-free.

Fear is not worth thinking about. Instead, think positive, that you are well and healthy and happy.
Practice TMS healing techniques in Sarno's and others' books and online in the forums.
Read the success stories for inspiration.

Herbie's new video on TMS is another way to increase belief in TMS:
